How to join with the pull loop through method – Studio Madelaine Crochet Patterns

I think the pull loop through method is my all time favourite joining method. It gives a beautiful flat join and I like the little stripes when joining different colours.

In this photo tutorial I will show you how to use this method for joining granny squares of different sizes, like in my Granny Allsorts Blanket, but you can use it for joining ‘normal’ grannies, hexies and basically everything 🙂

De pull loop through techniek is een van mijn favoriete technieken wanneer het gaat om het aan elkaar haken van vierkantjes, hexies of wat dan ook. Hij is wel wat tijdsintensiever omdat je elke steek aan elkaar haakt, maar ik vind het effect erg mooi. De naad is heel glad en plat en ik vind de kleine streepjes wel grappig.

In deze foto uitleg laat ik zien hoe ik deze techniek gebruik voor het aan elkaar haken granny vierkanten in verschillende formaten, zoals in mijn Granny Allsorts deken.

Here you see the square we are going to join for this tutorial. You can see in the top left corner of the square that the last two 3dc clusters should be joined with the two free 3dc clusters in de darker blue square on the top.

Dit vierkant gaan we aan de rest van de deken haken in deze uitleg. Als je in de linker bovenhoek van het vierkant kijkt zie je dat de twee laatste 3-stokjes clusters overeenkomen met de 2 ‘vrije’ 3 stokjes clusters van het donkerblauwe vierkant erboven.

1. Crochet the last round of the square to the point where joining starts (in this case the last two 3dc clusters on this side)
1. Haak de laatste ronde van het vierkant tot het punt waar je begint met aan elkaar haken (in dit geval bij de laatste twee 3-stokjes-clusters van deze kant).

2. Crochet 1 dc in the next space

2. Haak 1 stokje in de volgende opening

3. Take your hook from the loop and insert front to back in the corresponding stitch on the other square (indicated with the red arrow)

3. Haal je haaknaald uit de lus en steek hem van voor naar achter door dezelfde steek van het tegenoverliggende vierkant (aangegeven met de rode pijl)
